Awesome toy for my 12yr old
He wants to be an engineer or mechanic. So he loves when his lego sets have moving parts and gears. We had a blast getting this thing together, only downside is you have to dump all the bags at the beginning, so have some work space! It's a bit bigger than I thought it would be, looks like the photo of the product, was a decent price, build quality was good, was fun, but that coil bit for the light will definitely test every shred of patience you have. That part took the longest and I had to get creative with trying to figure out how to twist and feed it while not breaking other bits. It took some time. But we got it after a couple breaks lol very cool project!

Shark lovers go for it!!
Make sure the child is mechanical inclined to be able to assemble this. I would not buy for a younger child. Great product for engineering student .

This is an interesting and different kit. The pieces fit well, and none were missing. The completed model is hinged in a few places, so the body bends back and forth as you turn the crank. It displays well on our shelf too.

Super cool and detailed.
My son loved building this shark and it came out super cool. Only reason for the 4 star rating is that it was missing two significant unique pieces. There are two silver robotic fins on the opened side of the shark. My son and I completed the entire thing on Christmas day, but these two fins were not in the box. We contacted the maker and are waiting to see if they will send us the two pieces. Other than that this is a pretty cool and detailed shark and the lighting looks great

No clear instructions
Purchased this as a Christmas gift for my son who regularly completes Lego kits. Typically, the instructions are clear and the bags are labeled 1,2,3 etc and correspond with the step you’re in process of completing. This kit doesn’t have any instructions and the labeling/number system is very poor. One bag is labeled “O” with extra parts and the other bag is labeled “1”. Inside that bag are several smaller bags, also labeled “1”. There is no indication of which bag is needed for which step. There are no instructions, just pictures of various pieces all inside the multiple smaller bags labeled “1”.We have purchased other off brands legos kits and they’re all the same- Organized with clear instructions and numbered 1,2,3 etc on each individual bag.I would not purchase this kit again and highly doubt it will be assembled due to the lack of instruction and clear labeling. For nearly $30, this was a very disappointing purchase.

Hard. Fragile.
Very complex build leading to lots of meltdowns. Even the adults had difficulty. Light feature was nearly impossible to complete. Pieces break apart w slightest pressure. Got through the whole thing and 1 basepiece pushed too far in and couldn't be removed resulting in mechanical failure of crank. Ugh. Also top heavy and will likely small to Pieces if it ever falls off base
