UPDATE#2I'm going to Retract my original review Because I am finally seeing changes. Positive changes, so this stuff is pretty good.UPDATE:So I had to take a couple stars away. Becuz as great as I thought this treatment was, the scaling Comes right back within a day or 2, So heck, I can buy cortisone for a dollar and it does the same thing. So I am disappointed to a point. I guess you have to keep putting this stuff on several times a day for the rest of your life to keep it off.So all these fancy creams and stuff are just a waste of money.The white Scaly skin is gone After just a couple applications but came back, it's still in my ears but it has calmed down. I still have the red spots, I will update after a month if the red spots are gone or not.It does not stink. It's a little greasy because it's an ointment.

If you have psoriasis, then you know how much it’s not no fun to have, however, there is this lovely brand called MG 217 that makes amazing products like this ointment. This ointment does have a very bad smell to it, but the smell is so worth not having itchy and scaly skin. I feel that this ointment works better than my medicated ointment from my dermatologist.

I bought this for my seborrehic dematitis. I have it in my eyebrows, ear canals, sides of my nose and cheeks. I also have it on my scalp, but do not use the ointment in my hair. I find it works very well for the flaking/crusty areas. However, it is so strong that I feel like clawing my skin off because of the severe itching it causes. Am experimenting with how long to leave it on before washing off. Also considering diluting it somehow. It has a very strong smell, so I only apply it at night before bedtime.

Unfortunately, I was not able to try the product because it arrived damaged. It did have a very strong , not very pleasant odor. Can't say if it would help or not.

I’ve been using MG217 for several decades now, it’s been the greatest addition to helping treat my psoriasis and keep it from itching so bad. I used to by 10 tubs at a time cause I would keep it everywhere. I recently bought it again and they clearly changed the formula. It’s so much more watery and oily now. When I carry it in my cargo pocket at work, it becomes a liquid in the jar and leaks in my pocket. I’ve never had that issue in the past 20ish years. I’m not a fan of this new formula. Looks like I’ll have to find a different coal tar ointment, MG217 just feels cheap now.
