Poor mounting method. No instructions, but obvious how to mount. With no method to fasten front of mount to roof, traveling at highway speed with only a magnetic antenna on it, the wind lifted the bracket up causing it to rip the third brake light assembly from the cab. The low profile antenna cord was the only thing that kept the bracket from flying into the car behind me. The cord was ripped apart & the third brake light was broken. The parts and labor costs to replace these two items were twice what this bracket cost me. I was very thankful that i had not mounted the new safety light on this roof mount yet! I would not recommend this mount.

I contacted a few seller with products of this type. They all said, the mount would change the view of the third brake light, bed camera. It did very slightly. So, if you have a Ford Lightning or another vehicle with a bed / box camera, this mount works very well with it.The mount itself is good and solid. It is heavy, well built and installed easily. My only complaint are the included foot pad things. They are big, bulky and the contact materials is very hard stiff sharp plastic not rubber. Order adjustable foot pads with rubber bases, the feet included with this mount will damage your roof. Otherwise it is great.

Catches wind and lifts at 45+ mph. Took apart and re-tightened everything and adjusted it pointing down and had the same result.

Easy to mount and very strong. Definitely worth the money.

Certainly the biggest benefit in using this mounting bracket is that it can use the truck frame rather than drilling though the roof or body. It is not without trade off though, as getting secured well enough to not lift or vibrate at highway speeds means you have to really torque down the roof "feet" at the front. I was able to overcome the tendency of the wind to lift the mount, by tightening the feet very tight. The result will no doubt be that the paint underneath will be seriously scuffed when/if I ever take it off. On the other hand other mounts would almost assuredly leave holes in the rough, and like still have scuff marks. All in all it worked for my application.

Didn't like the adjustment to keep it from flopping in the wind. To properly adjust would put it pointed way up and look like crap. But customer service was great and refunded.
