Easy to assemble, but due to the Florida heat we only worked on it for a little while. Total assembly time was about 4 hours.Pro: Lots of room and great design. All parts were perfect and delivery was pretty fastCon: Made of wood and it is recommender to spray it with a water repellent. But if it is under cover and set on pavers it should last a long time.Highly recommended for price and ease of assembly

Enough room for silkies but not so much for medium sized hens like easter eggers.
I'm already past the return period so I decided to repurpose this coop for my 2 silkies and 2 easter eggers. I custom built a much larger deep litter method coop for my 2 brahmas and 2 sussex. The 4 larger birds live in the coop I built which cost almost $1,000 in raw materials alone and bought this tiny thing for almost $270. Don't really get value for the money. This coop uses some really soft wood that easily cracks and the walls are very thin. Perfect for 4 silkies but no way for 4 medium sized hens. My 2 easter eggers have to duck while roaming around in the lower run area. I will be expanding this coop with a proper run that will accommodate both the silkies and easter eggers.Something to note about this coop. Don't buy if you're planning to use a larger feeder and waterer. I'm expanding the run to 6ft so I can add the 2x 3 gallon buckets for water and feed. If you use a smaller feeder that fits in the bottom run, be prepared to refill them daily.I can only recommend this product if you plan on keeping silkies or prepared to expand it since it's only good as a hen house and not an all in one solution. If you have a fully covered walk in run already, then this probably work fine if you plan to keep the doors open with a larger food and water system in the outer run / cage. Will update with photos of the completed project compared to my much larger coop.

Very cute coop for novice chicken owners and easy to assemble
I had been looking for a small backyard coop for some time, and all the other options were either too big, not attractive, or prohibitively expensive. This one was not cheap, but still cheaper than the other options I had seen. Some other reviews had stated that this coop is very small and flimsy which almost dissuaded me from buying it. I agree it is on the smaller side. I think more than three hens might be a little tight. As for sturdiness, I live in a warm climate, so the coop is fine for us. The wood is solid and the roofing material is good quality. The manufacturer recommends weatherproofing the unfinished wood and roof. The top of the two nesting boxes on the side can be propped open and also hooked closed. When the box arrived and I read the instructions, I was intimidated to set it up, but it was actually very, very easy with an electric drill. It took less than 1 hour. It is light enough to be moved around by two people, but I don't think it would be blown away in heavy wind, for example. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.

Small
Ordered 2 of these coops, each box had damaged parts. Also didn’t seem durable enough nor large enough for what it suggested the capacity was. In order to get a refund we have to return it by taking it to the post office, which will be difficult as it won’t fit in the vehicle and I even if I could get it returned I can’t lift it without assistance. We have a shipping label, why can’t it be picked up at the place of delivery?

Cute coop!
Very cute coop. The only thing I would change is the latch security, it is pretty loose and could easily be knocked open, and one of the roosting bars is built to go across the entrance of the coop.

2 full size hens.. maybe 4 bantams. It is little.. Darling little house.
Honestly I am not sure why these kits are as expensive as they are, and end up being smaller than you think. This little house is darling. Yes little bit of poor wood and drilling and lack of personal attention, and split places. It should cost less. However for as easy as it was to put together, and as cure as it is: excellent. Nearly worth the sml fortune. Chicks love it. I was able to put heat lamps in, but it would have been nice to have a place to attache that that didn't interfere with the flow of the house.

The Coop.
This arrived on time and was relatively easy to assemble once I got the first two pieces figured out. While the screw holes were pre-drilled, three kept spinning, so I had to add screws in other areas for stability. The wood is like chips of wood pressed together. Making, the material quality poor—some areas split when using the provided screws. This is a two-person job, and the coop is very small, suitable for 3 quails or 1-2 hen(s). The latches and bolts are flimsy; my dogs opened the latch easily. Though beautiful when assembled, the quality doesn’t justify the price. Buy at your own risk. Why didn’t I take the advice of previous reviews?
