We love the more common astronaut./cosmonaut nebulae projectors so much that we have several. This however, is not just a step but a whole leap up from them – light years better in fact!You can chose which constellations or nebulae you want to project and there are 13 different slide cassettes to choose from. These include our solar system and some other known constellations and real nebulae. There is a little knob which makes it easy to pull out the slide cassette from the projector when you want to change it. These are projected through the slides and the image quality is superb, and even better when used in the dark.ℹ️ Make sure to keep the slides in the correct boxes as there are no markings on the slides themselves! The boxes do provide scientific information about the actual slide content, which we love.There is one lens on the projector but you can change the angle of the projector if you want to project onto a wall or a ceiling etc, with manual focussing for the sharpest images. There are control buttons on the projector, which allow you to change the speed at which the projected images are rotated (fast, slow or stationary) and also to set a timer (1 or 2 hours).The USB-A to USB-C (into the device) means that you can use your own cable if you want a different length. You can even run it off a powerbank if you want to make it more portable. It would have been handy if the backpack had contained a re-chargeable battery but it doesn't, so you need to keep it near a USB plug or else use a power-bank if you want to move it elsewhere.It also comes with a cleaning cloth for the lens, in case of sticky fingers.

Although I don’t this is a terrible product, it fell well below of what I was expecting from the official images on the page. For starters as you can see from my images the quality is far lower in person, with not much detail and blurry resolution.It is still fun to look at for the little ones at least and you are provided with a good number of slides to switch between (12 in total). These are simply placed and removed easily from the side of the projector and each come with their own protective case to help prevent scratches.Due to the big quality drop off with the pictures it is far too high for me to recommend even on the current discount, let alone at the RRP. Pass overall.
