Unfortunately, I waited too long before I took the keys to the VW dealership to get them programed. I thought was saving money but this turned out to be a total waste of money as they could not be programed. For starters the key part was smooth and did not have the normal ridges compared to a real key. That should have been my first clue.DO NOT BUY. FAKE FAKE PRODUCT.

Works well
The only problem I had after I got them both linked to my car and cut by the locksmith (which cost me $250 and the keys come unlinked and uncut) was that the panic button was on the side and kept going off. You can remove the button, which I did. I can still press the button if I need to with a key so I give these 5 stars no issues

Worked for 2014 VW Jetta using Autel KT100x
Great value, worked great! I was able to program these to a 2014 VW Jetta using an Autel KM100x tool. We were able to retain the one factory key we had for a total of three working keys and fobs. It would be nice if these used factory key blanks so they could just have a cut key transferred, but had to cut these separately.

My mobile locksmith had it cut and programmed within minutes. Bought two, and they work so well.Great product. Great seller. VW was $300 for each, plus $300 to program each. So instead of $1,200, with the purchase of two of these and $250 for programming for both, I think I saved a wallet full of money.

The keys where programmable . They worked
The keys where programmable . They worked. After they where cut they where programed at a auto locksmith that dies eri cars and VW and it worked like new. I had a working key if that helps. I have a 2013 VW GTI.

Garbage
Absolutely do not bother. They have a 30 ft line of sight functional use. Of the 2 pack one was broken from the start and could not be programed.

It works. Kind of. 2016 Jetta
I managed to swap my key blade and circuit board over to this key fob, and it indeed does work. Two MAJOR gripes I have... It shipped without any instructions or manual of any sort. Also, the key blade itself is much thinner in the replacement fob. I had to forcefully hammer the old blade in. Quite a frustrating ordeal, but at the end of the day, it does work for a 2016 Jetta.
