I am very pleased with the quality of this stuffed animal, especially considering other reviews I saw here on Amazon for other similar products. The Macaw I received (green head and back, yellow chest) was well made, and the head and beak looked realistic. It will sit (stand, really) on its feet. It's two-tone green tail is about 7" long. But beware: The advertised size (9.8 inches) is potentially deceiving. Mine is a bit over 10" to the top of the head when it's sitting on a table. Other stuffed parrots I read about on Amazon listed total length, including tail. So I incorrectly assumed that the body of this parrot would be about 7" and its tail about 3". Unfortunately, I wanted this to sit on my shoulder for a pirate costume, and it is too large to do that comfortably. But it is a super toy for a young kid or cute addition to an indoor tropical garden.

This small stuffed red Mccaw Parrott makes a great gift for anyone. It is small enough to sit on your desk at work to remind you to think creatively or on your pillow at home. The colors are brilliant and it is difficult to believe they are found on a live animal. These feathers are made from soft stuffed material. a part of the rest of the bird. The eyes look at you deeply and you wonder what the Parrott would say if alive. So if you like scarlett Mccaws, this is a well made choice.
