Decent selection time will tell how healthy they are.
Most of the plants came in decent shape considering that I live in hot hot hot Florida and it is the beginning of summer. I didn't receive all the plants pictured but I did receive a good variety. Only one plant type a short grass did not have any roots. I planted them in the substrate and gave everything root tabs to hopefully root. I bought the kit and also two small pots of bacopa one small pot of super red ludwigia and one ludwigia ovals. Everthing else pictured here came with this assortment and it is filling out my long 35 gallon tank nicely! Time will tell if they all make it and I will update in a month or so. Overall very happy so far.

Good stuff
Loled at the sad looking hornwort as 'packing peanuts' when i opened it (hefty portion tho &its bouncing back already) but aside from that and some melt on the vallisnera, everything was in good enough shape [for shipped plants... no matter what, they always look a little sad after theyve been in a box for a week, right?] looking better with some light and a little co2. Roots on stuff that should have them already, and decent number of stems. Nice pack.

Care instructions are helpful
It took way too much effort for me to figure out what is in this bundle. No idea why this isn't listed on the Amazon listing, but in finding the seller's website I found that the bundle is supposed to contain the following plants:-Anubias Barteri-Marble Queen-Hygrophila Pinnatifida (I don't think I received this)-Altlandsberg Sword-Telanthera (I don't think I received this)-Red Melon Sword-Lobelia Cardinalis-Hygrophila Araguaya (don't think I received this)-Java Fern-VallisneriaI have a low-tech tank, meaning I have standard Fluval lighting and I don't use Co2. I'm new to planted freshwater aquarium keeping, so I did some quick research on these plants once I received them (probably should have researched first, but oh well)I could be wrong, but it seems like most of these plants are fine for low tech tanks and are generally good for beginners. Based on my research, it seems like a few of these plants would benefit from using a more specialty substrate such as Fluval Stratum. You may be able to get away without it, but that may impede on your success. The Hygrophilas, which are listed on the website but I don't see in my order, are said to do "best under high lighting with Co2 and fertilization" Lobelia Cardinalis is best with Co2.I am annoyed that the seller didn't provide this information. The package came with general instructions for freshwater plants, but nothing specific for this bundle and some information was for plants that aren't included in this bundle. The plants should be labeled with specific information on each label, and this listing should have more detailed information.I'm going to be upset if these plants end up deteriorating and messing with my water quality and wasting my time & money. As of now they look good. Next time I will only purchase from organized sellers who are clear about what they are selling and who include the information needed to care for these plants.

It might work, it might not.
So this is probably as much my fault as anything else, but I'm writing this review as a cautionary tale to others in my position.I have a shallow 30-35 gallon pond with minnows and goldfish and a box turtle that loves to swim in it. My pond had a few turtle-safe plants in it already, but I had noticed the water beginning to foam, and this meant that I needed more plant life to counteract the fish life to balance the pond. So I ordered this because honestly, it's a great deal. When the plants arrived they were all bunched together in a bag. Nothing was labeled, so I don't know what I got. Everything looked sort of unhealthy, but with the temperature being what it is around the midsouth lately I can't blame the shipper for that. Anyway I popped everything into the substrate, which is only about half an inch thick of pea gravel and sand, and positioned everything away from the walls (so the turtle wouldn't rip it up as she passed by) and in the areas that get the most sunlight. I poured in some pond plant fertilizer, and then waited. A few plants, one I think is Java fern, really added a nice touch to the pond bottom. A few more looked like once they got a hold on the bottom, they'd be really beautiful. One was just like... long skinny leaves with no roots. It was almost completely brown but I had high hopes for it.So two weeks or so in, and the Java fern has shrunk. Not looking so good. Two of the more potentially beatific plants are completely gone. Turns out I wasn't the only one who thought they looked nice--I think the fish ate them. The long skinny ones got pulled out by the turtle when she swam around. One very pretty set of cuttings was purple with little white tips on the end. Pretty sure the turtle ate those. This morning the foam is starting to come back (it had completely went away initially). It looks like, of the initial ten plants I placed in there, only 3 remain in any sort of living condition. What's really crazy about this is I may order again. I still need plants in my little pond and this is the best deal out there. I suppose it would help if I knew anything about these species, and it would be incredibly helpful if the seller would put some sort of description card and special care instructions for the actual plants I received. I'm not sure if that would have made me more successful, but it couldn't hurt. It was very frustrating not knowing what I'm putting in the pond or how sensitive it might be.All in all, I'll say it was great value for the money, tempting fate to get it through the mail, impossible (for someone like me) to identify the species or know how to care for each one, and the survivability is reduced by so many variables here, it might not be worth it, but then again it might.Best wishes, JM

Would Definitely Recommend
I ordered the plants for my 10 gallon minnow tank and they arrived healthy and in various shapes and sizes although it took a little longer than i would have liked it was well worth it. Would definitely recommend.!
