So some of these reviews have mis-information. No you can’t just go by the HP rating and assume you have anywhere near the correct pump. IF your old pump is sized correctly (and that is a big IF when a plumber vs a good boiler contractor installed it) this pump is roughly equivalent to a TACO 007-F5 (the most common residential circulator in the US, per TACO) or a Grundfoss UPS15-58FC (probably #2) running on middle speed. The B&G specs a bit more than the TACO, or Grunfoss on middle speed, a bit less than the Grunfoss on high speed. In large generality if your existing pump is 1/25hp, this pump is likely a bit oversized for a single zone circulator, proper for a 2-3 zone valve controlled system, small for 4-5 zones, but will still work, though potentially with terrible efficiency at the ends of those ranges but YMMV. So one star off for the description stating this is 3 speed, it isn’t that is the NRF-25 which I would happily have paid the additional $30 for but no one had it Prime, as my prior TACO 007-F5 is probably undersized on my 5 zone system. So super easy to install, let boiler cool, unbolt old, bolt in new, about 15 minutes. What may not be so easy is how hard it is to purge and bleed your system depending on many factors, and you sure have to get it right. About 20 minutes for my system. Back up and running in an hour total.Does not have a check valve, if your old one does and you need it look elsewhere.Made in Indonesia, if that bugs you maybe the TACO is still made in RI but I doubt it.Quiet new, will see how it goes.

Appears like its good quality. I installed and has been running about a month so far so I don't know about the durability yet. I will probably purchase this again when my next zone pump fails. One comment I would like to make that has no bearing on this product is be aware of the orientation of the flanges. My pump is now mounted 90 degrees (but still vertical) from where it was originally and just fit. I didn't pay attention to the pictures but worked out for me.

I have replaced these types of pumps in the past on my boilers. After checking with Lowe's and HD and seeing that they wanted too much money for the Watts version, which is what I have always seen on hydronic heating systems, the Bell & Gossett was a good choice due to a better price and similar quality. What made it an even better choice is that this B & G pump is totally interchangable with a Watts 007-F5 because they are dimensionally identical. Took me 15 minutes to swap them out. Very satisfied.
